Special Guest Presenter – James Ball

James is the mind behind http://noteasytoforget.com/ and http://hellonorthgeorgia.com/ to name a couple. James will be presenting his marketing experience, what inspired him and what still inspires him. I know we’re really going to enjoy everything James brings to us so make sure you don’t miss this event!

James can be found on Twitter at @noteasytoforget and @HelloNorthGa

Topics for open discussion will include:

Foursquare – using it for longtail search marketing and community advocacy. Also the fear(s) – both real and imagined – about using geolocation services to interact with social media.

Blogging – is it dead? Dying? If so can that trend be reversed and does it need to be? Ken Cook has published over 3000 blog posts just in the last decade but also uses open engagement as a mainstay in community building.

BRING YOUR FRIENDS!

Spring is in the air and we’re going to have a fantastic season of sun here in Atlanta. Lane, Thom and I are looking forward to organizing a great string of events and want each of you to play a major roll in the upcoming schedule.

The organizers for the Atlanta Social Media Breakfast are Ken Cook (Northwest), Lane Bailey (Northeast) and Thom Abbott (Perimeter/Intown) – the founder of Social Media Breakfast is Bryan Person of Austin, Texas.

I attended my first Social Media Breakfast Atlanta last month, and I was thoroughly impressed. The event organizers have done an excellent job in planning and organizing events that are truly conducive to conversation and learning. It seemed that everyone in attendance offered something to the conversation and we all left with notepads full of great takeaways.

If you are in the Atlanta area and are interested in learning more about social media, I encourage you to attend. Everyone is welcome; I look forward to seeing you there. RSVP today!
