The Man Behind Atlanta Insurance Live!

I want to introduce you to Chris Jordan.  He is one of our authors providing us with insight into the personal and business insurance industry.  Here is his story, in his own words…

I am the principal agent of Atlanta Insurance Live!, a unique online-based insurance agency.  I offer personal and commercial auto insurance products, homeowners insurance, life insurance, and a variety of business insurance products as well.  As an independent agent, I have the advantage of shopping the marketplace for my clients to find the best products among multiple carriers.  Some of my top carriers include Travelers, Progressive, West Coast Life, and Harleysville. My position allows me to represent my clients rather than the insurance companies.

I moved to Atlanta after graduating from Auburn University in 2003.  I spent four years working in market research with Nielsen Media Research.  In 2007, I made the decision to begin a new career as an insurance agent and began working directly for a large insurance company.  While the position was enjoyable, I felt I was limited with my product line and marketing creativity.  In March of 2009, I stepped out on my own and started Atlanta Insurance Live the following month.

Atlanta Insurance Live is home to my informative (and sometimes entertaining) video blog where I offer a wealth of free advice on insurance related topics.  My website also features a page where you can connect with me live online via web cam and live chat.  You can learn more about my approach by listening to my recent interview with the Insurance Journal.  I will have the pleasure of being featured in upcoming issues of Independent Agent Magazine and Advisor Today.  I am working hard for my clients, but I also hope to improve and advance an outdated industry.
