People ask me all the time, “Why did you get into Commercial Real Estate?” The answer: Since I was a kid, I’ve been fascinated with office buildings. I used to love to go to Downtown Atlanta with my parents, and try to get to the top floors of office buildings so I could see the views. Security would never let me get up to the top, but I would always try given the opportunity.
Therefore, after two years of selling commercial printing products, aka Junk Mail, after attending Clemson University. I decided to find my career. “What is it that I am really interested in?” The answer: Office buildings. The Question: How do I get into office buildings without getting kicked out? The answer: Make sure that I am touring a client that is looking to lease office space in that office building.
That is how I decided to get into Commercial Real Estate, and why I chose to focus on representing clients that are looking for office space to lease, or just evaluating their current office space against the market. It was six years ago that I decided to be an office tenant representative, and I have been with Colliers International the entire time.
